 Sports Scholarships USA Foundation

Sports Scholarships USA Foundation, inc., was developed because of  Clara Marcella Tate, a mother of five children and a foster mother to seventy five additional children. Clara graciously opened her heart and her home to help children in need. Clara’s values revolve around family, the arts and sports; with only a high school degree she understood how important it is for young men and women to continue their education.

Sports Scholarships USA Foundation, Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) corporation; the management team of SSUSAF, consists of a group of business professionals who awards student athletes, artists or performing artists with funds for college education use. We believe there is a thread between athletes and artists.  Both have a desire to compete and perform at their peak to be successful.  SSUSAF expectations are high and challenging, but attainable. Your generous tax deductible donation will help these outstanding students achieve their educational, athletic or artistic goals.

Students whom are awarded one of our scholarships must have demonstrated superior educational, athletic performance or artistic ability. Our requirements are as follows:

Minimum GPA of 3.5 or equivalent

On track to graduate high school

Has shown impressive results in sports and/or the arts

             No drugs or alcohol

             Evidence of community service

             No significant disciplinary issues

Special circumstances will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and may take precedence over and above the listed requirements.

Students can be nominated from any National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), and any art or performing arts associations, by principals, counselors, athletic directors, teachers, or coaches. Nominations for scholarships may be mailed, to:
